Super Mario Theme on Ukulele!

Follow Me on Pinterest

So I've been toying with the idea of learning to play the guitar for years now. However, in true Babs & Midge style, the ideas are great but the follow through is where we get stuck. I'd like to think that if I actually committed to the idea all those years ago, I could have been as good as Sungha Jung...

Ok if you haven't seen this kid play the guitar before, prepare to be wowed! I don't think there is a song that this kid can't play (there are heaps of videos on YouTube). Below are two of my favourites - The Pirates of the Caribbean theme and the Super Mario theme, on a Ukulele! Now, Babs owns a Ukulele, doesn't know how to play anything on it, but bought it because she liked the colour. I think it's time she puts it to good use and learns to play this Mario theme, and here's how! There's a book called Outliers, written by Malcolm Gladwell where he explores the '10,000 Hour Rule'. In a nutshell, this rule claims that the key to success in any field can basically be achieved by practicing a specific task for 10,000 hours. This works out to be about 20 hours per week over 10 years.

Totally achievable Babs, right?! Ok, look out for her video on YouTube playing the Super Mario theme in say... 30 years... maybe... ;) x
